September 9th—here's where I'm taking my kids this week

I won’t lie, this week is all about getting things organized for our first community event in San Francisco - RSVP HERE! I’m putting together craft boxes for fairy wing making, soaking chia seeds for sensory bins, dyeing spaghetti (which is seriously taking me back to my art school days), and just working hard to make Saturday feel really special.

I’ll definitely sneak out to Flower Piano on Friday — it’s such a magical thing our city does — but mostly we’re saving our energy to go all out this weekend. Hope to see you guys there!

Thursday 9/11 A lively outdoor market with fresh produce, local vendors, and live music. Fun for all ages — bring the whole family for a weekday outing. (3pm - 7pm)

Friday 9/12 Free stargazing on the observatory deck with astronomers. Ages 5+; weather dependent — check before you go. (7:30am – 10:30pm)

Flower Piano – SF Botanical Garden
Friday 9/12 through Sunday 9/21 Magical outdoor concerts with 12 pianos scattered through the gardens, performances for kids, and surprise sets among the blooms.
Free for SF residents; all ages welcome. (times vary)

Community Playdate – McKinley Square
Saturday 9/13 A big neighborhood morning hang with open play, a craft table, and a pop-up from @noomoon.shop. Free to attend, all ages welcome. First 20 guests will take home a Playdate tote! (11am)

Noe Valley Art Festival – Noe Valley Town Square
 Sunday 9/14 A free community art festival with 22 artists, live music, painting demos, and hands-on kids’ activities. All ages welcome; great family outing in the heart of Noe (10am – 4pm).

Oogubi Sensory Play
Sunday 9/14 Morning playdate with water play, sensory setups, and creative activities designed for kids to explore while parents connect. Free for adults, kids ages 10mo–12yrs welcome (activities safe for 6mo+). Enjoy 10% off the beer & wine garden plus exclusive food truck discounts. (10:30am – 12:30pm)
*Good to know: Bring a towel + change of clothes (water play is popular!). Mess is part of the fun.
