September 30th—here's where I'm taking my kids this week

Storytime + stretches, bluegrass at Golden Gate Park, and a Not so Scary Witches Tea

While we’ve started our trip to Japan, back in the Bay, fall is in full swing. From festivals and pumpkins to music in the park, here are some of the best things to do this week to keep the kids busy around San Francisco.

Wednesday 10/1 Explore exhibits by designers, makers, and artists with admission priced however you choose. A creative midweek outing for the whole family. (various times)

Storytelling Stretches - Science Today Station
Thursday 10/2 Join in a guided stretch session that creatively introduces children to the salmon lifecycle. Yoga mats are provided and all ages are welcome. (12:30pm)

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass – Golden Gate Park
Friday 10/3 - Sunday 10/5 The legendary free music festival returns with dozens of acts across six stages, including Lucinda Williams and The String Cheese Incident. Pack a blanket, snacks, and enjoy a family-friendly weekend outdoors. (9am)

Witches Tea – Filoli
Friday 10/3 - Sunday 11/2 Little witches and warlocks can enjoy spooky sweets, bubbly brews, and storytime sorcery in Filoli’s enchanted Ballroom. Adults get one complimentary drink (sparking wine available). (11am)

 Treasure Island Harvest Festival – Cityside Park
Sunday 10/5 Celebrate fall at the new Citywide Park with skyline views, pumpkins for sale, bounce houses, a petting zoo, live music, and festive food + drinks. A fully day of family-friendly activities. (10am - 4pm)
Free admission, food + activities available for purchase.

Monday Fun Day Family Dance Party – SF Public Library
Monday 10/6 Kick off the week by shaking your sillies out to a family-friendly pop playlist. Perfect for little movers ages 5 and under. (10am - 11am)
